| Not so cheap eats
anymore according to the recent Zagat survey of local
restaurants.....average cost of dinner in Vegas has risen to
$32.42...includes one drink, tax & tip....that's up from $25.70 last
year and $20.80 in 1997....
The increase in average cost is
the direct result of so many new "high-end" restaurants in
Vegas...where the actual cost is even higher....an average of $64.30 for
dinner in the 20 most expensive restaurants in Las Vegas.....
Picasso at the Bellagio got the
top awards in most-popular, service, and decor categories...while Renoir
at the Mirage took the top spot in the food category.....
Vegas has come a long ways in the
restaurant/food business...it now competes with the best cities in the
country!
The survey also points to Vegas
as big tippers, with an average of 18.4%, tying Long Island, and topped
only by New Orleans with 18.7%.... |
