Dining Reviews By Las Vegas Insider

Best French Onion soup at a restaurant called Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Las Vegas, French food like in Paris. We love sitting on the patio area, watching the water show across the street at the Bellagio, or people watching as they walk by. Don’t forget the crepe desserts! Bananas Foster the best! Moderate ($$$) Great wine list, service always terrific, Taqueria Cañonita's is a relaxing spot to watch the gondolas go by, listen to gondoliers sing on the Venetian’s Grand Canal at, service was good, food good, different. We had the Taco selection, 3 soft tacos, served with black beans and rice, were delicious, great chips and salsa.

Speaking of Mexican, go to Garduno’s at the Palms, all time favorite Vegas restaurant for Mexican, lots of amazing Margaritas, great salsa bar, I love the combo plate, 3-4 items of your choice under $10. Wife loves the steak tacos, free dessert, delicious, warm sopapillas with honey. Meal for two with 4 margaritas, and tip was $50, good service. Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian, it’s a grander Cheesecake Factory, big servings of great food, 24 hours a day, very large place, seats 550, menu has 150 items for dessert try the Molten Chocolate cake! Meal for two depends, ours was $25. For a terrific buffet for lunch, our favorite is the Paris Las Vegas Le Village buffet, if you haven’t tried French cooking, this is the place to check it ALL out, fill your plate with samples from all the stations, go back for more of what you like, it’s rich, some items cooked to order. The deli has 3/4 lb. Mega-dog $1.49, ½ rack ribs $4, huge strawberry shortcake, $1.99, 99¢ (so-so) margarita. Coffee shop: hamburger/shake plus other choices $4.99, and nightly pasta/salad bar.

Not our choice - Panevino's off strip location, still great views of strip/airport but menu, wine, price and service changes have removed this one from our favorites list, also service was lacking on last visit, I hope they improve.
