DINING REVIEWS BY THE  LAS VEGAS INSIDER!!

Restaurant: Pearl (Chinese)

Location: 3799 Las Vegas Blvd S, MGM Grand Phone: 702-891-7433 Hours: 5:30PM-10PM daily Reservations: Yes...for best booth seats Payment: Major credit cards Price Range: Moderate

A modern Chinese restaurant with western flair, Pearl serves authentic Chinese cuisine with influences from the Canton and constantly changing menu that takes advantage of rare and unique seasonal offerings. Pearl's Western flair is evident throughout the dining experience. A dedicated wine cellar, an aperitif trolley and a digestif selection along with a Sommelier, also not usually found in traditional Chinese restaurants, assist guests with wine and beverage pairings throughout the meal. Signature items from the menu include Asian Bouillabaisse, shark fin and Dungeness Crab Spring Rolls and a steamed Maine and Australian Lobster Tasting.

Alison and I were MOST impressed with one of their signature dishes...Dungeness Crab Spring Rolls...suggest you try the Jasmine tea served at tableside on its own tea trolley...On our first visit...we went for small side of menu...and the second visit...we shot the works...but could not finish (and this isn't a take-out joint)...expect to pay about $50 on small side of menu and $150 on larger size...TIP...Order half a side from each one…

Atmosphere: ACES Value: ACES Food: KINGS Overall Rating: KING 1/2
